Netherlands beat England

The unpredictability of the Twenty20 format was experienced by the English team yesterday where they lost on the last ball. Well, they have themselves to blame as they had upteen number of chances to run the Dutch batsmen out. But all's well that ends well. Cheers to the Netherlands they were lucky and played better on the day.

With the first match going down to the wire, we can expect more such thrillers from the Twenty20 World Cup 2009. All we need to do is to pray to the rain Gods as so many matches in 20-20 format get washed away due to the rain.

The most affected are the viewers watching on the TV, switching between the channels and checking whether the match has started, and a lot of time is wasted in the process.

And for people like me who have their vacations going on and have nothing to do, it is all the more irritating.

So lets keep our fingers crossed that this 20-20 World Cup lives up to the expectations of the viewers worldwide.

And just as a true Indian, I hope India retains the Championship ! Jai Ho !!! :)
